The Church of the Messiah, located at 6436 Montgomery Street in Rhinebeck, New York, will hold the monthly “Third Thursday Luncheons” on Thursday, October 18, 2012. As part of Messiah’s Outreach Programs, these luncheons benefit a local organization to support their ongoing programs. The October Luncheon will benefit the Dutchess County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals [DCSPCA]. Their mission is to rescue, shelter, and secure permanent homes for adoptable companion animals; as well as to advocate for the highest standards of animal care.
We invite you to stop by to see our parish hall transformed into a stylish bistro, serving a luncheon of soup, sandwich and delicious desserts. The soups for October will be Hearty Minestrone and Cream of Broccoli. The sandwich choices will be Ham and Cheese, Turkey Salad, or Egg Salad. Dessert and coffee or tea will complete the meal.
The luncheon will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 pm. with a $6.00 donation requested. In addition, for takeout orders with a $7.00 donation, please call 845-876-3533 between 9:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.
In addition, the DCSPCA is in need of blankets, and dog and cat food, either dried or canned. If you are able to bring such a donation, it will be greatly appreciated. The members of the Church of the Messiah thank you for your continued support.
