Renting Space at Messiah

If you are interested in renting space at Messiah, please contact us.

We have three areas that can be rented:

  • The Parish Hall – for larger gatherings
  • Donegan Hall/Weigel Hall – for conversations, classes, and discussion groups
  • The Church – for weddings and performances

Facility Usage Fees:

CHURCH

For Parishioners:

Wedding: No charge

  • Rector’s Discretionary Fund: No charge
  • Sexton: $50
  • Organist: to be arranged with organist

Concert: $250

  • Sexton: $50
  • Security Deposit: waived

For Non-Parishioners:

Wedding: $600 ($750 with rehearsal)

  • Rector’s Discretionary Fund: $125
  • Sexton: $75 (with rehearsal $100)
  • Organist: to be arranged with organist

Concert: $250

  • Sexton: $50
  • Security Deposit: $200 (refundable after event if no damage)

PARISH HALL

Parishioner Rates:

  • Security Deposit: waived
  • Rental Fee for ½ or full day: waived for parishioners—donation to cover electric, heating/air-conditioning appreciated—suggested amount $25
  • Cleaning: $50
  • Table and Chair Set Up (optional): $20 (1-13 tables); $30 (14-19 tables)
  • Table and Chair Take Down (optional): $20 (1-13 tables); $30 (14-19 tables)
  • Kitchen (refrigerator only): no charge
  • Heating or cooking: $10
  • Caterer (prep or cooking): $100

Non-Parishioner Rates:

  • Security Deposit: $200 (refundable if criteria listed below are met)
  • 1/2 Day Rental Fee: $250
  • Full Day Rental Fee: $450
  • Cleaning: $50
  • Table and Chair Set Up (optional): $20 (1-13 tables); $30 (14-19 tables)
  • Table and Chair Take Down (optional): $20 (1-13 tables); $30 (14-19 tables)
  • Kitchen (refrigerator only): no charge
  • Heating or cooking: $50
  • Caterer (prep or cooking): $100

Note: The Church of the Messiah requires a minimum of 1 (one) adult chaperone per every 10 (ten) children under the age of 21.

Please Ensure (All Renters):

  • No damage to the hall has occurred (this includes walls, floor, tables, chairs, etc.);
  • Garbage is removed from premises;
  • Lights are turned off when you leave;
  • Door is locked when you leave; windows are locked;
  • Keys are returned within 3 days of event;
  • We do charge a cleaning fee, however it is expected that the user will clean up spills as they occur.
  • We provide heavy duty garbage bags.
  • User must supply all tablecloths, tableware, etc. Church supplies may not be used for private parties.
  • Nothing may be hung from or inserted into the walls. Absolutely no tape on the walls or floor.
  • Decorations may be hung from the hooks that are in the wooden beams.
  • No other hooks or nails, etc. may be used.
  • Heat is preset. Please do not touch the controls. If using the air-conditioning, please turn it off.
  • You may temporarily remove the bulletin boards, but you must return them to their original position before leaving.
  • Doors and windows must remain closed if there is music. Music level must be low enough to NOT be heard outside. No music after 11:00 pm.
  • Use of the outdoor area may be allowed by special arrangement. If used, it must be thoroughly cleaned up—no candy wrappers, soda bottle/cans, juice boxes, etc. left on the grounds. Absolutely no beer or wine in the outdoor area.

 

DONEGAN HALL

  • Single use: $35
  • Single use, charitable organizations: negotiable
  • Long term rentals: negotiable

WEIGEL HALL

  • Each classroom: $35 per hour for the first 2 hours; $15 per hour thereafter
