Richard McKeon has been called to be our new Rector. Richard is a graduate of Middlebury College and Yale Divinity School; he grew up in Westchester County and is a life long Episcopalian. For the past 22 years, he has served at Zion Episcopal Church in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. His strengths match our needs, as he has demonstrated excellent pastoral care at Zion, and has worked extensively with children and young adult programs. The Diocese has cited his parish as one of the healthiest parishes in stewardship and outreach programs. He has also been Vicar to Bishop Roskam for the past 15 years, and has built strong Diocesan working relationships.
On a personal note, he loves gardening, reading, architecture, and collecting ocean liner memorabilia. Richard, along with his partner Tim Lewis and their two border collies, Rupert and Tucker, will reside at the Church Rectory.
No announcement can convey the joy that the Vestry had in unanimously choosing Richard to be our new spiritual leader. Richard’s first Sunday will be August 1st. The June 20th bulletin will announce a series of small parish gatherings in July and August to give all parishioners the opportunity to meet our new Rector.
