Verse of the Day

"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 5:3, ESV)

CROP Walk 2010

CROP stands for Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty. This annual walk helps raise awareness and funds internationally, as well as locally, with up to 25% of the monies collected remaining in the Red Hook, Rhinebeck and Tivoli communities.

There are many ways you can be a part of this ministry. Please consider participating as a walker. Walkers get sponsors to support them with a monetary donation. If you are unable to walk, consider sponsoring a walker or registering as a “spirit walker” where you collect money in the spirit of the Crop Walk. Walkers have the option of a shorter than 2 mile walk or a 5 mile walk.

Alternative ways to help include manning Messiah’s registration table at the walk to receive walker’s envelopes, manning a water stop and being a driver for emergencies. If you have any questions or would like to be a part of this vital outreach, please call Laurie Craft at 229-5681.
