Saturday Church Tours

Yesterday was the first Saturday that we had the church open for a few hours. We hope to have the church open for a limited period each Saturday for visitors to our church to come in and enjoy the beauty of Messiah. We will have a self-guided tour available to distribute and all that is really required isy our presence to sit in the narthex and welcome people as they come in. Thereis a sign-up sheet for those wishing to volunteer on the table in the narthex and at coffee hour. We will give this a try for the summer and, if it is popular, consider continuing it through the leaf season in the fall. You can sign up for one hour increments between 10am and 2pm. If you have any questions just speak to Fr. Richard. We feel this will be a wonderful gift to our community and those visiting Rhinebeck.

VBS Family Night: Lion-Making

We are gearing up for Vacation Bible School and are very excited about our plans for the kids to perform a lion dance this July. All VBS participants will have an opportunity to be a part of this dance. Two Family Night Out dates were set to make the lion and learn the dance. The first on July 12th was great fun and we were able to get the fabric for the costume painted. Join us for the fun on July 19th from 6PM to 8PM at the Rhinebeck Reformed Church. We will share a pot luck dinner. Please bring a dish to add to the table.

• Clean jars are needed for VBS. Jars should be approximately 3-4” tall and 8-12oz. capacity. If you can help provide some, please bring them to church and leave them on the kitchen counter in the parish hall or in the office weekday mornings.

• VBS is July 25-29th at the Reformed Church from 8:45-12 noon for student sentering Kindergarten through Grade 6 this fall. Lunch is included. Registration forms are on the table in the Narthex or you can register online at http://groupvbspro.com/vbs/ez/rrc.
