The Community Organizing Residency (COR) is now accepting applications from people of different faith backgrounds interested in a career in community organizing. COR is a six-month, paid residency. Starting in July, Residents will work in four cities: New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. COR will connect its Residents to veteran organizers for mentorship, leadership training, and first-hand experience in putting community organizing techniques into practice. Working for leading organizing groups, Residents will support campaigns that address today’s pressing issues such as expanding affordable housing, improving public education, and increasing access to healthcare. COR residents will receive healthcare benefits, in addition to a salary. *People of all faiths are encouraged to apply at
rootedinfaith.org before the April 2 deadline.*Created by Jewish Funds for Jewish, COR is a new initiative that brings together the American Muslim Civic Leadership Institute, the Poverty Initiative at the Union Theological Seminary, and the Jewish Organizing Initiative, which are providing program support.
